Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining, Mazatrol programming, and a proven ability to lead and manage a team of machine operators. As a Machine Shop Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, optimizing machine utilization, maintaining quality standards, and promoting a safe working environment. This is a critical role that requires technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality products on time.

Responsibilities:

• Mazatrol Programming: Develop, modify, and optimize Mazatrol programs for CNC machines based on engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Team Management: Lead, train, and supervise a team of machine operators, ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
• Production Planning: Collaborate with the production planning team to establish achievable production targets, allocate resources effectively, and prioritize work orders based on customer demands.
• Machine Utilization: Monitor machine utilization and make strategic decisions to maximize efficiency, minimize downtime, and reduce setup and changeover times.
• Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control processes, conduct regular inspections, and develop corrective action plans to ensure the production of high-quality parts that meet customer specifications.
• Equipment Maintenance: Collaborate with maintenance personnel to schedule and perform preventive maintenance tasks, troubleshoot machine issues, and ensure optimal performance of CNC equipment.
• Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and optimize machining processes, tooling, and workflows to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve overall shop efficiency.
• Safety Compliance: Promote a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols, conducting regular safety training sessions, and addressing any safety concerns promptly.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production data, machine maintenance logs, and programming changes. Generate regular reports on production performance, efficiency, and quality metrics.
• Supplier Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers to source raw materials, tooling, and other necessary resources, ensuring timely availability to support production requirements.

Requirements:

• Experience: Proven experience working as a Machine Shop Manager or similar role, with hands-on experience in Mazatrol programming for CNC machines. Strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and production planning is essential.
• Mazatrol Programming: Proficiency in Mazatrol programming language and software, including experience with multi-axis machining and complex part programming.
• Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, delegate tasks effectively, and resolve conflicts. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are required.
• Technical Competence: In-depth knowledge of CNC machining principles, machine setup, and operation. Familiarity with machining software, CAD/CAM systems, and industry-standard quality control techniques.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot machine issues, optimize processes, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Safety Consciousness: Comprehensive understanding of safety regulations, protocols, and best practices in a manufacturing environment. Ability to prioritize and maintain a culture of safety.
• Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure precision in programming, machining, and quality control processes.
